2007-2008 Division 33 Lt. Gov. Fuchsia Ward News:
Division 33 is in 2nd place in the Cal-Nev-Ha District and 34th place in KIF. Division 33 has donated $168,226.61 to help over 3.36 million children fight IDD worldwide. In Cal-Nev-Ha District, the Div. 33 clubs are ranked: Kern - 3rd; Westchester - 15th; Tehachapi - 22nd and Shafter - 42nd. Kern Club is 86th worldwide.

SALT IODIZATION SUSTAINABILITY ENDOWMENT
To continue the work of the WSP/IDD, KIF has set up a new fund called the "Salt Iodization Sustainability Endowment."
KERN KIWANIS ADDS 1 NEW HIXSON DIAMOND LEVEL
On December 30, 2006, PSDLG John Stephenson was honored as the 61st Hixson (Diamond Level #2) for his dedicated service to Kern's Million Dollar Hole-In-One Shootout fundraiser for the past 12 years ($153,200).
KERN KIWANIS ADDS 2 NEW HIXSONS DIAMOND LEVEL
At Kern's 12th MDHIOS Sponsors and Members Appreciation Luncheon on July 20, 2006, PSDLG John Stephenson honored 2000-01 PLG Phil Field (59th Hixson - Diamond Level #3) for his dedicated support and 2000-01 South PP Tammy Lodermeier (60th Hixson - Diamond Level #1) for her 12 years as the Voice and Image of MDHIOS. SECOND KERN MEMBER HONORED BY KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL FOUNDATION

KIWANIS STATUS OF WORLDWIDE SERVICE PROJECT - IDD
As of September 30, 2005, the Kiwanis family has contributed in cash $88,793,697 toward its new $78 million goal including $10,424,004 for the 113,000 Reasons Project above. Kiwanis International has awarded in grants to 102 nations and areas to support their programs for the virtual elimination of iodine deficiency disorders (IDD). The use of the funds is monitored by UNICEF and its field staffs. Status Report
