His son Nile and wife Betsy wanted the party to be a surprise so he came thinking the Roast was for PSDLG John Stephenson. When he walked in, everyone had his photo over their face. "On April 26, 1918 Wendall Kinney was born to Roy A. Kinney and Addie Breedlove-Kinney in Tacoma, Washington. It's hard to believe Wendall started out as a baby, but he did. Then, through a series of experiences to which most all of us can relate (such as losing every store-bought lunch pail he ever owned, living life as a member of the "Blues Chasers" dance band, loving life as the director of an all girl dinner/dance orchestra, and making a living selling some brand new thing called an electric shaver) Wendall was molded into what he is today...83 years old!"
