On December 28, 2000 during a club meeting, PP Walt Heisey became Kern's 1st Heritage Society member with his planned gift to KI Foundation. 2000-01 Lt. Gov. Phil Field presented him with a special pin & plaque. Also, Walt will be recognized with a personally inscribed brick which is added to the elite "Pathway to the Future" at the entrance of the International Office in Indianapolis, Indiana. (Right)
DIV. 33's 13TH AND KERN'S 2ND TABLET OF HONOR
On December 21, 2000 during the 3rd DCM hosted by South Bakersfield Club at Four Points by Sheraton, 2000-01 Lt. Gov. Phil Field received the Div. 33's 13th and Kern's 2nd Tablet of Honor from PSDLG John Stephenson.
KERN CLUB 27TH HIXSON & 1ST DIAMOND HIXSON
On December 7, 2000 during a club meeting, 2000-01 Lt. Gov. Phil Field presented the 27th Hixson & the 1st Diamond Hixson to PSDLG John Stephenson (Diamond level #1554-01). The anonymous donor requested it be given to read "In Honor of The Work of John W. Stephenson". "As you are aware, Mr. Stephenson is a truly outstanding human being, and in particular his efforts on behalf of the IDD program have been tireless".

DIV. 33's 9TH TABLET OF HONOR
On July 20, 2000 meeting, Tammy Lodermeier (South Bakersfield) was presented with the Div. 33's 9th Tablet of Honor by her Kiwanis Dad PSDLG John Stephenson on her Birthday. The plaque was inscribed: For Many Years Of Unselfish Devotion To The Kern Kiwanis Club's Annual Milliom Dollar Hole-In-One Shootout. Tammy was the Co-Chair plus the voice and image of the 6th MDHIOS at Stroke Cutter.
