KERN KIWANIS ADDS 1 NEW HIXSON
On September 11, 2008, PSDLG John Stephenson honored Andrea Garcia (25) with Kern's 62nd Hixson Fellowship (#34320) for her dedicated work in the Service Leadership Programs (SLP) having served as the 2000-01 KIWIN'S Ruby Division LTG at East Bakersfield HS and joining Kern Kiwanis in May 2003 to continue her work with KIWIN'S Regional Advisor John Stephenson. HONOR CLUB BANNERS
A total of 427 Honor Club Banners have been awarded worldwide with 21 in the Cal-Nev-Ha District, and Division 33 has three (14.3%).
SALT IODIZATION SUSTAINABILITY ENDOWMENT
To continue the work of the WSP/IDD, KIF has set up a new fund called the "Salt Iodization Sustainability Endowment."
KERN KIWANIS ADDS 1 NEW HIXSON DIAMOND LEVEL
On December 30, 2006, PSDLG John Stephenson was honored as the 61st Hixson (Diamond Level #2) for his dedicated service to Kern's Million Dollar Hole-In-One Shootout fundraiser with his Co-Chair Honoary Member Tammy Lodermeier for the past 12 years ($153,200). (Middle)
KERN KIWANIS ADDS 2 NEW HIXSONS DIAMOND LEVEL
At Kern's 12th MDHIOS Sponsors and Members Appreciation Luncheon on July 20, 2006, PSDLG John Stephenson honored 2000-01 PLG Phil Field (59th Hixson - Diamond Level #3) for his dedicated support and 2000-01 South PP Tammy Lodermeier (60th Hixson - Diamond Level #1) for her 12 years as the Voice and Image of MDHIOS. As of 6/30/06, Kern Kiwanis Club has donated $65,560.35, and these funds have protected from IDD a total of 1,311,200 kids.

At the Tehachapi DCM on September 15th, 2004-05 Div. 33 Lt. Gov. Joe Whitby presented to PSDLG John Stephenson the "Benefactor" a special award from Kiwanis International Foundation.
KERN CLUB 57th HIXSON
On June 23, 2005 during Kern Club's regular meeting, PSDLG John Stephenson, WSP/IDD Chair, presented member Pres Burdette the 57th Hixson Fellowship (#32043). Pres has been out of town causing a delay in receiving his Hixson.
