The Kiwanis Club of Tehachapi was chartered on May 1, 1963. Currently, the club has no Charter Members.
Weekly luncheon meetings are held on Wednesday from 12:00-1:00 PM at Mountain Crossing Restaurant, 416 West Tehachapi Blvd. (Eff 1/7/09).

2007-08 Div. 33 Lt. Fuchsai Ward announced that the Tehachapi Club received their Distinguished Club Award. Distinguished pins were awarded to: President Don Bowman and Secretary Paul Combs.
In the past to provide funds for Community Service Account, Tehachapi Kiwanis Club has used the following fund-raisers: Annual Golf Tournament, Carson & Barnes Circus (every 2 years), Entertainment Books, Mountain Festival Food Booth, Vintage Airplane Ride Raffle and Tehachapi Phone Delivery.
Some Community Service Projects include: Coats for Kids, Lead Awareness Project, Annual Prayer Breakfast Sponsor, Boy Scouts, Civil Air Patrol, Junior Miss Program, Salvation Army Camperships, Salvation Army Bell Ringing, Family Life Pregnancy Center, Jamison Center Playground, THS Scholarships, Academic Decathlon, Library, Special Olympics and College Health Clinic.
The Tehachapi High Key Club, Builders Club and K-Kids are part of the Service Leadership Programs with Marget Willer as Advisor.
As of 12/31/08 in the WSP/IDD program, the Tehachapi Club has given $20,789.30 or helped 415,786 kids from IDD. We rank 22nd in Cal-Nev-Ha District and 3rd per member in Div. 33. The Tehachapi Club has 15 Hixsons: PP Dick Anderson, PP Marv Anderson, PP Rev. Clark Bailey, PSDLG Lynn Buttcane, Pat Buttcane, PP & Sec. Paul Combs, PP Jack Connley, Jack Goodwin, PP Alfred Gregg, PP Eldon Grimes, PP Bill LaMonte, PP Rex Moen, George Novinger, PP Joe Whitby, and Dianna Updike. PSDLG Lynn Buttcane is the only Tablet of Honor (Div. 33 - 14th). On June 15, 2001, Div. 33 Lt. Gov. Phil Field presented to Pres. Al Gregg their Honor Club Banner. This banner is the 3rd in Div. 33 and the 16th in Cal-Nev-Ha District. (Right)
In the Div. 33 Bloodmobile Project (5/13/04), Div. 33 has raised $101,515.30 (or 100.11%) of the $101,400 cost to purchase a 3-bed unit for Houchin Blood Service. We have donated $2,533.00 (or 2.50%) and rank 12th place.
