The Kiwanis Club of Taft was chartered on January 7, 1925. Currently, the club has no Charter Members.
Weekly luncheon meetings are held on Thursday from 12:00-1:30 PM at OT's Cookhouse, 205 N. 10th St.
On September 29th, 2011-12 Taft Club President Glenn Black was installed with First Lady Kelle. Also, Pres. Glenn presented IPP Greg Mudge with his plaque. (Left)

In the past to provide funds for Community Service Account, Little League Pancake Breakfast, IDD Rummage Sale, Spaghetti Feed, Sales Dewar's Christmas Candy and Pancake Breakfast.
Some Community Service Projects include: Tree planting & maintenance, Highway clean up, Student of the month for 14 schools in Taft, Taft residential care Christmas party, Smoke detector program, Sponsor of Boy Scout Troop, Little League sponsorship and Christmas gifts for the under privileged.
The Taft High Key Club is part of the Service Leadership Program (SLP).
As of 9/30/10 in the WSP/IDD program, the Taft Club has given $5,164.00 or helped 103,280 kids from IDD. We rank 8th in Div. 33.
In the Div. 33 Bloodmobile Project (5/13/04), Div. 33 has raised $100,515.30 (or 100.11%) of the $101,400 cost to purchase a 3-bed unit for Houchin Blood Service. We have donated $3,900.00 (or 3.84%) and rank 10th place. Our Thousand Dollar Club members and order are as follows: PDLG Marvin Fuller, Sr. (11) and Taft Kiwanis Club (29).
