The Kiwanis Club of Westchester was chartered on June 12, 1961. Currently, the club has one Charter Members: PP Marvin Belcher.
Weekly breakfast meetings are held on Friday from 6:30-7:45 AM at Hilton Garden Inn, 3625 Marriott Dr. Westchester Satellite 3-2-1 meeting is held on the 1st Saturday-Noon at Happy Jacks, 1800 20th St.

At the Westchester hosted DCM on August 20, 2015, the Div. 33 "Because We Knew You Award" was presented to honor the following members past & present: Marvin Belcher, Sherlo Shively, George Giboney, John Henderson, Joe Johnson, Brent McClanahan, Arnold Burr, Steve Corbin, Ron Holt and Don Fowler. Also mentioned were: Bob Lopez, Chuck Thompson, Jim Turner and Stanley Swartz.
In the past to provide funds for Community Service Account, Westchester Kiwanis Club has used the following fund-raiser: Reverse Drawing & Annual Golf Tournament.
Some Community Service Projects include: 47th year of Jack Frost Football, Math Field Day, Jamison Children Center Park, Regular blood and platelet donations, World War II Veterans Memorial, Two Junior High Awards (dozen schools), Boys and Girls Club, Westchester Clean-Up, 29th year Al Dennis Scholarship at BHS, Key Club Scholarship, Christmas Shopping Spree (50 disadvantage youth), American Red Cross, Cancer Society, Crop Walk, American Lung Association, Special Olympics, Bakersfield Retarded Citizens and Save Old Spectacles.
As of 9/30/16 in the WSP2/MNT program, the Westchester Club has given $14,656.00 or helped provide 3 shots to ELIMINATE 8,142 maternal/neonatal tetanus cases. 1992-93 DLG Phil Niederauer and 2010-11 LGE Joe Johnson made a "Walter Zeller Fellowship" donation of $1,250 each for MNT. The Westchester Club purchased their 3rd "Zeller" to honor PP Pam Sanders. During April & December, 2014, 5 & 1 matching Hixsons were added. The Westchester Club has pledged to be a KIF BRONZE Club at $350 per member.
As of 9/30/10 in the WSP1/IDD program, the Westchester Club has given $25,202.39 or helped 504,048 kids from IDD. We rank 15th Cal-Nev-Ha District and 2nd in Div. 33. The Westchester Club has 21 Hixsons, 1 Diamond Hixson and 3 Tablet of Honors names on their "Honor Club" banner. (Lower Left)
In the Div. 33 Bloodmobile Project (5/13/04), Div. 33 has raised $101,515.30 (or 100.11%) of the $101,400 cost to purchase a 3-bed unit for Houchin Blood Service. We have donated $8,244.00 (or 8.13%) and rank 5th place. Our Thousand Dollar Club members and order are as follows: Margaret Dennis in memory of PS Al Dennis (3), Tom Stewart DDS (6), PLG Sherlo Shively in memory of PLG Jim "Pop" Turner (7), George Giboney (21) and Westchester Kiwanis Club (23).
